In honor of Geography Awareness Week, we are featuring a very simple and handy web tool to show the relative size of two geographic features. OverlapMaps instantly creates an overlapped map comparing two locations such as countries and states.

The webpage is very simple, choose a feature from the column on the left to overlap on a feature from the column on the right and then click the green arrow to view your map.

OverlapMaps is a simple tool to help students understand relative location and size of a given area. I could see this being particularly helpful when studying foreign countries.
