Oil-Free Vegan Gravy



The perfect thing to put on your Thanksgiving table is this vegan gravy that doesn't need any oil. Simple ingredients are used to make it, and it's rich and flavorful. It goes well with mashed potatoes or any other dish.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Add 1/4 cup of vegetable broth to a small bowl and mix it with a whisk until it's smooth

Add the rest of the vegetable broth, nutritional yeast, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme to a saucepan

Over medium-low heat, bring to a boil

Pour the cornstarch mixture in slowly while whisking all the time to keep lumps from forming

Stir the gravy around and keep cooking for another 5 minutes or until it gets thicker

Add pepper and salt to taste

Serve hot on top of mashed potatoes or your favorite foods
