Uova al forno al sugo con mozzarella



Uova al forno al sugo con mozzarella is a delicious Italian baked egg dish with a flavorful tomato sauce and gooey melted mozzarella cheese. It's perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions:

Start by heating the oven to 350F 175C

Warm the olive oil in a skillet that can go in the oven over medium heat

After you add the tomato sauce, let it cook for a few minutes until it gets a little thicker

In the sauce, make four small holes

In each hole, crack an egg

Give the eggs some mozzarella cheese on top of them

Add pepper and salt to taste

Place the skillet in an oven that has already been heated

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still a little runny

Before serving, sprinkle with fresh basil leaves

Enjoy your breaded egg on a bed of spinach with mozzarella!
